Muir maintains highest ratings in HCA standards announcement
MUIR has maintained the highest possible Governance and Viability ratings for its work as a housing association, the HCA has confirmed.
The Homes and Communities Agency has announced that Muir Group Housing Association is to retain its G1 and V1 ratings.
The November 16th announcement made by HCA, the English social housing regulator, has been hailed as “fantastic news” by Muir’s Chief Executive, Catherine Dixson.
“This announcement solidifies Muir’s reputation as one of the leading housing association’s in the areas within which we operate,” Mrs Dixson (left) said.
“The HCA’s expectations have increased over time. The standards they set are tougher to reach and this demonstrates that we have the right processes and controls in place, and that we can consistently deliver at the right level.
“It is fantastic news for us as a housing association and something that we continually strive to maintain.”
Muir was one of 46 housing associations to have its ratings declared in the HCA announcement.
David Gardiner, (pictured right) chairman of the Muir Group Housing Association Board, reserved his gratitude for the efforts made in helping to maintain its high Governance and Viability standards.
“The Board is delighted by the outcome of the HCA announcement and I would like to pay special thanks to all Muir staff and Board members for their contribution in helping us to achieve these ratings once again," he said.
