MUIR RESIDENT DANIEL PENDLEBURY CROWNED 'TENANT OF THE YEAR' AT MAJOR AWARDS NIGHT
DANIEL Pendlebury received a huge standing ovation as the Muir resident was crowned Tenant of the Year at the prestigious Northern Housing Awards.
Pendlebury raised the roof as his peers all stood in recognition of his wonderful achievement and his limitless efforts to help people in need both in Muir’s Northwich community and beyond.
A Muir Group Housing Association resident for seven years, Daniel works tirelessly to help others and improve services for vulnerable people in his community.
He does it all with unassuming modesty, but has a huge positive impact on the lives of countless people where he lives.
His incredible ‘Northwich in Need’ group has captured the imagination and become a bedrock for support in the area; helping 23 homeless people off the streets of the town since founding the volunteer group in 2016.
Assisting them with benefit, job and housing applications, he helps motivate them and organises food distribution for vulnerable people in the area six-nights-a week.
Emma Robinson, Muir’s Housing Services Manager said: “We are thrilled and extremely proud to see Daniel lift this highly coveted award.
“His efforts are truly inspirational and this is recognition that is so very richly deserved.
“His selfless and insatiable community spirit restores people’s pride, energise lives and provide foundations for better futures.
“As a Muir resident, Daniel epitomises all the Association’s values – Caring, Responsive, Passionate, Inclusive, Dynamic, Honest, and many, many more.”
Daniel received his award at The Emirates Old Trafford in front of almost 1,000 people as everyone in the room stood in unison to acknowledge his amazing achievement.
Muir had also been shortlisted for Landlord of the Year and Best Resident Involvement Initiative at the glitzy May 23rd bash, attended by Muir staff, members of Muir's National Resident Group and of course Daniel himself.
