MUIR RESIDENTS AND STAFF STEP UP TO THE OCHE FOR DRAMATIC DARTS CHALLENGE

YOU couldn’t beat a bit of bully when Muir staff and residents stared down at the oche for the Association’s inaugural darts challenge.

Teams were playing at the treble to lift the trophy when they met at Muir’s Smithy Court sheltered housing scheme in Ellesmere Port.

Darts With the town home to three-time Women's World Professional Darts Champion, Anastasia Dobromyslova, staff and residents were keen to show what they were made of, with the MPS maintenance team also getting in on the act.

But it was the residents of Fusilier Court in Bury who won through after a nailbiting deciding round – taking the title on a double top afternoon.

Team captain, Val Jones, 66, said: “It is total elation to beat the Muir management.

“That’s what we came to do and that’s what we did.

Darts“We had a good afternoon and we’ve enjoyed it with residents of other schemes.

“We’ll be asking Muir for a trophy cabinet now.”
