MUIR TO CONTINUE HEDGE AND GRASS-CUTTING SERVICES 'WHERE POSSIBLE' DURING COVID-19

MUIR will continue to provide its hedge and grass-cutting services wherever possible as the Association abides by COVID-19 restrictions.

Indeed, the majority of Muir's Grounds Maintenance services will continue, in order to reduce any potential health and safety or wellbeing risks that would otherwise increase if suspended.

However, children's play areas maintained by Muir will remain closed in-line with current UK Government guidance surrounding essential service delivery.

Other grounds maintenance services provided by Muir which continue to go ahead during the lockdown period include emergency health and safety tree works and communal cleaning.

Emma Robinson, Muir’s Housing Services Manager said: “We will be working with our grounds maintenance contractors to maintain health and safety standards and to continue with the grass cutting and hedge works on our schemes wherever possible.

"However, please be aware that there may be some disruption to the level of service delivered due to the social distancing guidelines provided by UK Government.

“In the meantime, we’d like to reassure residents that Muir will also continue attending to emergency health and safety tree works, the removal of fly-tipping and communal cleaning.

“Thanks for your understanding – we hope you are all keeping well.”

Residents should please be mindful to apply social distancing measures when grounds maintenance operatives are operating in their area.

Please also be aware that standars of work completed by operatives may be restricted due to COVID-19 guidelines.
