MUIR WOODLAND HOMES JOY FOR SKELMERSDALE
SIX new Muir homes have begun welcoming residents at Woodlands in Skelmersdale.
The two and three bed properties have all been made available for affordable rent by Muir.
The appeal of the properties meant there was plenty of interest after Muir was able to provide homes at The Woodlands after receiving the green light from West Lancashire Borough Council.
Muir’s Assistant Director of Assets and Growth said he was thrilled to work with the council in order to provide more affordable homes in the Skelmersdale area.
“It’s great to build on our relationship with West Lancashire Borough Council and provide these properties in Skelmersdale,” Alex Fury said.
“To see people settling in before Christmas and enjoying them meant a lot because Muir has always been committed to providing housing and supporting services that families can trust.
“These new homes help to enhance our existing property portfolio in the area, and we’re thrilled to keep making a difference to the community by ensuring affordable housing is available here.”
Built by Keepmoat Homes, the properties form part of Muir’s Building New Homes strategy, which will see the Association increase the number of new affordable properties it provides each year.
