Muir's money-saving event can help you cut the cost of your household bills
RESIDENTS can save money on their utility bills thanks to a special event being hosted by Muir.
Muir Group Housing Association is helping its residents to cut the cost of their household bills by using a price comparison service to ensure tenants are getting the best deals.
Staff from the housing association are committed to helping residents get more for their money by helping them to search for the best available utility deals on the internet, as well as saving money in other areas and checking to see what benefits tenants may be entitled to – just bring your recent utility bills.
The first of four events designed to help residents across the country is taking place at The Vincent Farrell Centre, Temple St, Burnley, on Friday, February 24th from 10:30am-3pm.
It is being supported by Virgin Media who are providing free internet access for the event, where Muir staff will be happy to help.
Muir Tenancy Services Officer, Rebecca Miller (pictured here with Muir Money Advisor, Wayne Pearson) is encouraging as many residents as possible to attend and said: “This is a fantastic chance for residents to save some money on their household bills.
“We will be using iPads to get on the internet and search for the best deals available.
“All residents need to do is bring their recent utility bills and we will sit down and help them do the rest.
“They could make a real saving and it won’t cost them a penny to do so.”
Details of further events being held in other parts of the country will be released soon.
