NEIGHBOURS ENJOY EDEN PROJECT’S ‘BIG LUNCH’ AS MUIR LIVING RESIDENTS EAT OUT IN THEIR COMMUNITY
MUIR Living residents have taken part in a ‘Big Lunch’ to showcase their support for communities with The Eden Project.
Residents at Muir’s Tweedsmuir scheme sat out in the sun to enjoy lunch with each other, some for the first time since COVID-19 restrictions began to ease.
Neighbours were able to enjoy being together for the socially distanced suaree, sharing a bite to eat as well as some fun and laughter as the Eden Project event celebrated communities across the UK.
“Our ‘Muir Living’ schemes recognise the value of community which is why we are excited to enjoy a garden party for The Big Lunch at Tweedsmuir,” Donna Hufton, Muir Independent Living Officer said.
Many of those attending had been shielding for many months and this was a chance for friends and neighbours to socialise safely.
“They enjoyed a picnic-style lunch, garden games and musical entertainment to get everyone in the party spirit.
