NEW BOURNE IDENTITY CREATED AS MUIR PLAYS LEADING ROLE

MUIR has created its very own ‘Bourne Identity’ after delivering new affordable housing to the Lincolnshire market town.
The pretty new properties are all being made available for affordable rent after Muir received handover of the development towards the end of July.
They will help meet Bourne’s need for an alternative to rising house and rental prices, and form part of Muir Group Housing Association’s promise to deliver up to 75% more new affordable homes each year across the country.
“These new one-bedroom properties will soon be lived in by people for who we have provided a vital affordable option,” Muir’s Interim Assistant Director of Assets and Growth, Jo Fallon (pictured), said.
“Bourne is a historic town which has seen its population grow steadily since the turn of the century.
“By building homes here, we are helping to sustain Bourne’s growing community, provide new opportunities, and underlining Muir’s commitment as an affordable housing provider.
“We are proud to provide them and look forward to seeing them become a part of Bourne’s everyday life.”
Bourne, in South Kesteven, is situated on a Roman road and was built around natural springs on the edge of the Fenlands.
It has a population of more than 14,500, with its origins dating back more than 1,000 years.
