New Muir houses once again prove popular with homeseekers

NEW Muir houses have once again proved popular with people looking for a home after residents received their keys just two days after completion.

The second phase of the Highgate Park development was delivered at the end of June, providing the community with nine two-bed homes which Muir has made available for affordable rent.Highgate park

They were built by Barrett Homes and take the total on that site to 20, with a further seven set to arrive this year.

Muir’s Assistant Director of Assets and Growth, Sarah Lawton-James said the development demonstrates the Association’s commitment to the community.

“We are very pleased to be bringing more homes for affordable rent into Fylde,” said Sarah (pictured below).

“The community at Wharton will benefit greatly from these Highgate Park houses and Muir Group Housing Association is delighted to helping provide more accommodation for people in the area.

Sarah Lawton-James “The fact that the homes have already welcomed their new residents shows just how important it is to fulfil a need in this community.

“We hope residents will be very happy as they begin new chapters in their lives and Muir is proud to be a part of that.”

The development comes on the back of another busy year of building for Muir, which saw the housing association build a total of 80 new homes in 2016-17, with 63 of those being made available for affordable rent while 17 were provided for shared ownership.
