New shape of Property Services will build better future for Muir residents
MUIR is looking forward to taking ‘exciting new steps’ in the way it delivers its repairs service to residents.
The Association has been creating a new-look Property Services Department designed to build on its experience and take things to the next level.
The delivery of an enhanced service, covering maintenance of Muir properties, including repairs, upgrades and more, is seen as a vital part of maintaining the good relationship Muir has with its residents, as well as building upon its existing reputation for the tenants of tomorrow.
Muir’s Assistant Director of Property Services, Nik Evans, has been instrumental in providing a blueprint for the future of Muir’s Property Services since coming to the Association towards the end of 2016.
Nik (pictured) said: “Muir is very proud of the services it delivers to its residents and I want to ensure the Association more than meets expectation.
“Over the past 12 months we have been identifying areas for improvement right across the service and we are delighted with the potential of our new approach.
“We want to make sure that potential is fulfilled and Muir will be welcoming several new faces to its new Property Services team help achieve its ambitions.
“We look forward to rolling out enhanced Property Services to Muir residents and delivering excellent customer satisfaction with confidence.”
Some of the things Muir has done to improve its Property Services involve procuring new contracts, installing and developing a new Asset Management System, revising contract and performance management frameworks and strengthening Muir’s partnership with its own in-house contractor, Muir Property Solutions (MPS).
Muir has also been developing and revising policies and procedures, and reinforcing its focus on compliance whilst reshaping the overall Property Services delivery model and structure.
“We have worked hard to strategically shape the future of Property Services at Muir Group Housing Association,” Nik said.
“Our new service delivery model was met positively by residents from the regions in which Muir operates and we are excited about putting it into action over the forthcoming months.”
