NEW WINDOWS SET TO SHINE AT MUIR LIVING LOCATION WITH £80,000 GLAZING UPGRADE

NEW windows are set to shine in Lytham St Annes as our seaside Muir Living location gets a ‘glassy’ new look.

The £80,000 glazing upgrade is already a hit with residents at the Shalom Lodge site, as they get great new windows on the world.

The work to install the new windows is well underway with scaffold almost ready to be removed to unveil the building’s new look.

Residents are already reaping the rewards of the work.

“The gentlemen from Muir that fitted my new windows carried out all the work with professionalism and courtesy” one resident said.

And another said: “They did an excellent job fitting the windows.”

As well as looking great, the new insulated, double-glazed windows will improve overall thermal performance and help maintain a more consistent overall temperature while reducing our carbon footprint as we work towards Net Zero carbon goals.

They’ll help enhance security too, with enhanced locking systems helping to ensure residents remain as safe as houses.

“It’s a pleasure to be fitting these windows for Muir Living residents at Shalom Lodge,” Phil Tinkley, Muir Planned Maintenance Team Leader said.

“The investment will provide so many benefits while also improving the overall look and feel of the building.

“We’re pleased to know they’re already making a difference for residents here.”

Laura Evans, Independent Living Officer at Shalom Lodge said: “We’ll be sad to see all the operatives go when the work is complete.

“They have been meticulous in their work and all the new windows are looking great.

“Residents have been very complimentary about upgrade and it’ll help ensure they remain happy in their homes.”
