Next Muir money-saving event set for Skelmersdale
THE next Muir event aimed at saving residents money on their utility bills will take place in Skelmersdale.
Members of the Muir money-saving team will be offering the free service to residents when they visit the town’s Tanhouse Community Centre at Ennerdale on May 11th.
Muir’s money-saving ‘USwitch’ events are putting hundreds of pounds a year back into people’s pockets as staff identify cost cutting deals on their monthly bills.
Simon Kirby (below right) and Wayne Pearson (also pictured) are two of the money-saving team members who will be available at the 9:30am-3pm event, and he is looking forward to making a difference for residents as we spring into summer.
“We’ve been having plenty of success at the events we have run so far and we have been able to identify lots of savings for residents,” Simon said.
“It’s great to chat with people and make a positive difference. We know money can be tight sometimes and hopefully we can help make things a little easier.
“I would encourage all of our residents in Skelmersdale to come along and see what we can do for you.”
The previous two Muir money-saving events, in Burnley and Bury, have proved very successful with some residents making savings of more than £400 per year as Muir identifies how much they can save by switching to the best utility deals, with no obligation.
No appointment is necessary and the process takes approximately ten minutes to complete.
Residents just need to bring copies of their recent utility bills and Muir will then search the best deals available based on how much you use each month.
Maureen Hitchon (left), 73, was able to save £420 on her annual bills after paying a visit to the Burnley event in February, and said: “I was really pleased that I decided to go and I would advise other Muir residents to do the same.
“I am so happy to be saving so much money – it is brilliant. Muir really can make a big difference.”
