OUR BUILDING NEW HOMES STRATEGY SEES US DELIVER MORE THAN 250 NEW HOMES TO BE HAPPY IN

WE’RE building more new homes than ever before as we reach the halfway point of our Building New Homes Strategy!
Our Building New Homes Strategy saw us set a target of building 500 new homes for affordable rent and shared ownership by 2027
And we’re proud to have recently passed the 250 homes mark – having worked with developers to deliver 257 newly built properties for people to be happy in.
“It’s amazing to have reached this point and we’re determined to build on this success for people by continuing to provide quality new affordable housing opportunities in our communities,” Alex Fury, Muir’s Assistant Director of Development said.
“We’ve been providing a mix of apartments and houses, for affordable rent and shared ownership – ensuring there’s something to meet all needs.
“We’re proud to offer these homes in areas where there’s a definite need, recognising the importance of smaller rural developments just as much as larger ones in our towns and cities.
“This allows customers to enjoy quality new homes they can afford and help create an exciting next chapter in the lives of people and families while keeping communities together.”
As well as the 257 homes already delivered in areas including Cheshire, Cambridgeshire, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, work on a further 125 homes is already underway.
“Achieving our target of 500 new homes by 2027 is a key aim of our Corporate Plan and we’ve worked hard with funding partners to provide financial capacity; with a new £40m Revolving Credit Facility agreed in December 2024,” Nia Hughes, Muir Executive Director of Finance said.
Many of these developments enjoy the support of grant funding – attracting £3.3million of Homes England grants so far all of which enable us to generate even more opportunities for people to be happy in newly built Muir homes and fulfil our Building New Homes ambitions.
“We’d like to thank the developers, contractors, local authorities and all the other partners we’ve been working with to help make these new homes happen,” Alex said.
