PIES AND PROSECCO SET THE SCENE FOR SUMMER SOCIAL AT MUIR LIVING LOCATION
PIES and prosecco set the tone for a summer social event at our Muir Living location in Chester.
Residents at Tweedsmuir raised a glass, and a pie, at the event, which also saw neighbours joining in the fun.
The ‘Pie and Prosecco Night’ gave them the chance to get together and enjoy more time together, as community spirit in our Muir Living locations continues to support customers and reduce social isolation for those living nearby.
New resident, Irene, said: “The welcome I’ve got is unbelievable and the ‘get together’ is amazing.
“I’m very, very happy to join this family of people.”
Fellow resident, Pat said: “It’s lovely so see so many residents here enjoying themselves.
“A lovely way to spend a summer evening socialising with other residents.”
And another resident, Alan said: “It’s so nice to see faces I haven’t seen before – a great evening.”
As well as the Muir Living residents, Tweedsmuir opened its doors to near neighbours, inviting them to get involved and helping to reduce social isolation for others.
Lorna Clare, Independent Living Officer at our Tweedsmuir ‘Muir Living’ location said: “It’s wonderful to invite neighbours to feel part of our community and see how they enjoy what Muir Living can offer, as well as our own residents.
“It helps create friendships, strengthen community spirit and put plenty of smiles on people’s faces.
“A few pies and a little prosecco can also go a long way to that too.”
