WE WERE wowed when a resident said how much she loves Muir Living after she penned a poem about the location she loves.
Judith Glover put her thoughts down on paper to capture her wonderful words about how Muir Living lets her enjoy the independent lifestyle she loves while being part of a creative and caring community.
The 78-year-old resident at Tweedsmuir in Chester put into prose something we’re proud for our Muir Living residents to feel.

Independent Living...
What times we have at Tweedsmuir here
When we gather in the lounge
Mainly good fun and laughter
No need for sadness or frown
Different senses of humour
In the people who get together
Many discussions of allsorts
Not just complaints about the weather
No topic is off the menu
We talk of all things bright
The world we all remember
And trying to put things right
No-one can turn the clocks back
All have a lifetime’s past
We are safe and happy
Where we’ve settled down at last
So here we live independently
Alone – yet not on our own
Still wondering why life goes so fast
Keeping up with years that have flown
There are too many names to register here
Some have relatives, some do not
But we seem like extended family
Who live here with us – on the spot!
We all have different characters
Which mean we have lots of ideas
So raise a glass to our community
And wish us all big cheers!
