RESIDENTS GET SERENADED WITH SONG AT ‘MUIR LIVING’ GET-TOGETHER
RESIDENTS were serenaded by a local entertainer as they got together for a sing-along at one of our Muir Living locations.
The residents, at Shalom Lodge in Lytham St Annes, shared a few glasses of prosecco as they tuned into some songs from yesteryear thanks to singer, BEX.
It gave them a chance to sing along to some ‘golden oldies’ together as they enjoyed an afternoon of song.
“She sang a request for me and sang it so well I cried,” Shalom resident Sheila said.
And fellow resident Paul paid tribute to a “brilliant afternoon”.
Brighter Days events hosted at our Muir Living locations help provide great entertainment for residents in these communities, as well as for people living nearby who are often invited to attend to help reduce social isolation and promote wellbeing.
Laura Evans, Independent Living Officer at our Muir Living location at Shalom Lodge said: “Events like these do help create a strong sense of community and give residents more opportunity to socialise.
“They can be vital in helping to reduce social isolation and it’s really rewarding to see them enjoyed in ways like these.”
Muir Living supports people to live lifestyles they love and cherish their next chapter as part of a creative and caring community for over 60s.
