Residents speak up at Burnley engagement event

THE third Muir engagement event for residents took place in Burnley on Thursday as tenants got another chance to make their voices heard.

The Burnley event was the last in a series of resident engagement sessions that had previously seen tenants attend in both Chester and Huntingdon.

Muir is seeking to identify the things residents value most as it bids to use the feedback to continue improving the services it offers.

Residents Engagement The Association’s Housing Services Manager, Nick Grubb, who was on hand to hear from residents on the day said: “These events have been a fantastic way to find out what services residents value most.

“It has been great to see so many of them getting involved and engaging with us on a whole range of topics.

“Engaging with residents is very important to understand both how they view what we do, as well as how well we do things.

“But also it gives us a chance to hear what is important to them and as such we may be able to tailor our efforts accordingly.”

Resident engagement The latest event took place from 10am-3pm at Lodge House, Lodge Square, Cow Lane, Burnley.

Mark Pearson, Muir’s Assistant Director of Communities and Customer Service, thanked residents for supporting the events.

He said: “To see so much interest across the three events has been great.

“It has been good from us to hear from residents as Muir looks to ensure we know what matters most to them.

“We will now take the information we have been collating as we seek to identify areas for improvement in the services we offer.”
