RESIDENTS TUNE IN TO MUSICAL TRIO AT MUIR LIVING LOCATION
A MUSICAL trio have been hitting some high notes with residents at one of our Muir Living locations.
Residents at the Tweedsmuir ‘Muir Living’ location in Chester were treated to a musical afternoon as they tuned into the ensemble.
Made up of a pianist, flautist and oboist, the musicians made an hour of “beautiful music” for appreciating residents, as well as near neighbours of Tweedsmuir who were invited to attend.
“All the residents loved the afternoon and were really impressed with this talented trio of musicians,” Lorna Clare, Muir’s Independent Living Officer at Tweedsmuir said.
“It was lovely to have them visit us with their beautiful music, and we were delighted to share the occasion with our neighbours too.
“Having events like this at Tweedsmuir give us an opportunity to reduce social isolation in communities, so we always invite neighbours whenever we can.
“It enables them to make friends with residents and increase social outlook – and it was music to our ears to know that everyone enjoyed the afternoon so much.”
A selection of cream cakes helped everyone critique the performance, with residents, neighbours and musicians all looking forward to a repeat performance sometime soon.
