SOCIAL INVESTMENT ENRICHES RESIDENTS’ LIVES THANKS TO MUIR’S NRG

ENHANCED security, increased lighting, more events, and new allotments are just some of the ways Muir’s NRG has helped better residents’ lives during 2019.

National Residents Group (NRG) members have been busy helping to improve services and facilities with Muir ever since being formed by the Association last year.

It’s been instrumental in ensuring Muir’s social investment continues to benefit residents and communities.

allotment Muir residents in Liverpool have benefited from new allotments enabling them to grow vegetables and enhance enjoyment of their outdoor space thanks to funding allocated by the NRG from Muir’s Social Investment Fund.

Residents at Brompton in Northallerton have seen pathway lighting and sensor lights introduced to enhance access and security.

New parking spaces and garden fencing has benefited residents living in Edward Turner Close, Bradford.

Smithy Court And residents at Muir’s sheltered schemes have enjoyed regular ‘Brightlife’ events enabling them to engage more with their wider communities – helping to reduce social isolation and enrich people’s lives thanks to the funding received.

“We’ve been delighted to support so many good things for residents in our first year.

“These initiatives have made a real difference to people’s lives and the NRG is adding real value to some of the ways in which Muir responds to our needs.”
