‘STRIKING’ LANCASHIRE PROPERTIES CLOSE TO COMPLETION AS MUIR CREATES NEW 20-HOME COMMUNITY
A NEW 20-home community is close to completion as Muir creates ‘striking’ affordable properties in a Lancashire village.
Development of the ten 2-bed and ten 3-bed homes in Nelson overcame the challenges of COVID to remain on track to complete in 2021.
The eye-catching new homes will all be made available for affordable rent by Muir, with the Association looking forward to welcoming families through the doors on Barkerhouse Road later this year.
“We’re really pleased that these homes will be enjoyed by families in the forthcoming months,” said Annette Westwater, Development Officer at Muir Group Housing Association.
“It’s a great development and we’re delighted to help establish a new community in Nelson.

Being built by John Turner Construction Group Ltd, the scheme was designed by Eden Building Design and was granted planning permission with the support of Stanley Investments following a planning meeting at Nelson Town Hall in 2019.
