Swimming with sharks and walking with dinosaurs in a virtual world
WALKING with dinosaurs and swimming with sharks are just some of the things residents have been getting up to recently.
Tenants at the Muir Group Housing Association scheme of Tweedsmuir also visited a tropical island and took a hair raising rollercoaster ride when they entered the world of virtual reality.
The tenants used an Oculus Gear VR headset to climb into a host of thrill seeking scenarios when they transported themselves amongst the weird and the wonderful.

“Residents loved it,” Donna said.
“They were really keen to have a go and got very involved.
“It was very popular and hopefully something we can repeat in the future.”
Maureen Riley was one of the residents who took part, taking herself into the deep blue sea to get up close and personal with sharks in the ocean.
“It was great,” she said. “I really enjoyed it.
“I really got into it and swimming with sharks was a lot of fun.”
Another resident who hit the heady heights of virtual reality was Pauline Clayton.
She said: “I went up to the top of the rollercoaster and could see everything from the top.
“Coming down was exciting and a bit scary as well.”
