Thirty-three new Muir homes scheduled to complete before Christmas
THIRTY-THREE new homes are scheduled to be completed across five Muir developments before Christmas.
The figure underlines Muir Group Housing Association’s continued commitment to building new homes in its bid to help meet the need for more housing in the UK.
The 33 homes are a mix of both affordable housing and shared ownership properties which are being developed in Cheshire and Leicestershire.
And Muir’s Chief Executive, Catherine Dixson, says the Association is excited by the prospect of adding further homes to its portfolio, with more developments expected to complete in 2018.
“These 33 homes will provide many people with opportunities to start a new chapter in life, to remain in areas that they love, and to strengthen Muir’s relationships with these communities.
“Muir has a programme dedicated towards providing new homes and I am pleased that this continues to gather pace.
“By providing a blend of affordable housing and homes for shared ownership, we are giving people a choice and an opportunity to have something that is right for them.
“We remain committed to delivering attractive housing options for people and families, and I am sure these 33 new homes will serve as further evidence of that.”
Nineteen of the 33 new homes scheduled for pre-Christmas completion are being developed in Cheshire.
Of those, seven will be for affordable rent in Northwich with a further two in Farndon.
The remaining ten properties will be made available for shared ownership in the areas of Guilden Sutton, Farndon and Winterley.
The 14 Leicestershire homes will be for affordable rent in Melton Mowbray.
