WATCH AS BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT SINGER DOES THINGS ‘MY WAY’ AFTER BECOMING A MUIR LIVING RESIDENT

AN ENTERTAINER who wowed crowds at Britain’s Got Talent is doing things ‘My Way’ after becoming a Muir Living resident.
Dave Betton has already been performing for song lovers at our Shalom Lodge Muir Living location in Lytham St Annes, having moved there just under a year ago.
The 81-year-old proved he has timeless tone when he took centre stage with his son to sing for staff and residents.
He says he’s loving life with Muir Living after claiming: “You couldn’t wish for anything better.”
“It’s brilliant here – I love it,” Dave said.
“The people are really nice. It’s smashing."
Dave, who was a professionally entertainer for 50 years, says he and son Dean got their five minutes of fame when they graced the Britain’s Got Talent stage four years ago – receiving a standing ovation and an all-important four yeses from judges.
He said he got just as much joy from serenading Shalom Lodge residents who’ve helped him settle into his new home.
“Dean and I enjoyed performing for them and the residents enjoyed it too,” Dave said.
Residents said Dave’s singing has helped make the place “brighter, funnier and happier” – adding to the Muir Living lifestyle that’s proven so popular with residents at our various locations.
Jane Warren, Muir Supported Housing Officer said: “Residents really loved Dave’s singing style, and we’re so pleased he’s enjoying life with Muir Living.”
