WE’RE starting to provide all our homes with new energy ratings!
They'll show us how efficient your home is and how we can enhance it.
The Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) tell us what energy efficiency rating your home currently has.
We’re aiming to enhance all our homes so they achieve a minimum Band C rating by 2030, as part of our sustainability project to reduce our carbon footprint.
Improvements will make will also help lower your energy bills.
“We’ll use the EPC rating of your home, along with the results of our Stock Condition Surveys, to understand what improvements we can make to your home,” Natalie Williams, Muir Assets and Performance Manager said.
“We’re working together with Pennington Choices to do our EPC ratings. They’ll contact you to say they’re coming on our behalf.
“Please allow them access so we can understand how energy efficient your home is.”
Why’s this important?
Updating EPC information helps us:
- Identify homes that may benefit from energy efficiency improvements
- Improve the comfort and affordability of our homes for residents
- Meet our legal responsibilities
- Support our Net Zero carbon commitment
