WORK TO BEGIN IN WINSFORD AS MUIR GETS GREEN LIGHT FOR NEW AFFORDABLE HOMES

NEW Muir homes means more affordable housing for Winsford after planning permission gave the proposals a green light.

Muir will provide five new houses at St Chad’s Fields as the Association promises to transform an underused car park into affordable living for people and families in the area.

Work on the two-bedroom properties may now get underway in forthcoming weeks, ahead of completion the following summer.

St Chads homes design And Muir’s Development Officer says she’s thrilled the homes will deliver just what locals want following constructive consultations with neighbours of the new development.

“These homes will provide St Chad’s with some fabulous new homes that will help to fulfil a need for more affordable living in Winsford,” Annette Westwater said.

“We’ve had really productive consultations with existing residents in the area and we’re delighted to be delivering something that will make a difference for everyone.

“The development will provide seven extra parking spaces for those residents as a result of the discussions.

“Now, we can’t wait to welcome new people and families into these Muir properties; which we hope will help to enrich this community and provide foundations for futures.”

Muir staff Cheshire West and Chester Council granted permission for the homes in July, meaning work on the development can now get underway.

Alex Fury, Muir’s Assistant Director of Assets and Growth (right) said: “We’d like to thank existing residents of St Chad’s for their valuable feedback during consultation.

“We are delighted to be increasing the number of quality, new affordable homes for Winsford.”
