More Scheme Enhancements from the Residents Forums
The Regional Residents Forums (RRFs) for both the North (NRRF) and South (SRRF) have continued to work hard to represent our residents views and have taken on increased responsibilities for monitoring and challenging performance at a regional level .
They continue to receive and review bids for scheme enhancement projects aimed at improving the quality of life for our residents. Responsible for managing the associated budget, the SRRF have so far this year approved five bids and spent a total of £12,923.60 on improving our schemes. This includes improved fencing, additional planting and removing old planting. There are still a small number of enhancements that have been requested, which the SRRF have as yet not approved as they required some additional information, which the Community Housing Officers are currently preparing.
The NRRF has also approved five bids, with a value of approximately £40,000, including, provision of railings, improved door entry systems, additional car parking and environmental re-modelling.
The NRRF has also secured external grant funding to support a study visit to another housing association to raise awareness of how other organisations involve their residents. Arrangements are underway for this.
