  • Most storage heaters have two main controls – ‘Input’ and ‘Output’.
  • The input control regulates the amount of heat stored. Turning this down slightly can reduce energy bills without leaving you in the cold.
  • Don’t leave ‘Input’ on charge all day. Try turning it down a little bit for a few days until you have just enough heat to least you each day.
  • The ‘Output’ control helps to retain heat.
  • Turn down the ‘Output’ control whenever you leave the house. This will help store heat for as long as possible so you can use it when you return.
  • You can also run a timed programme or reduce the temperature thermostat to be sure of the amount of energy you use.
