MUIR EVENT IN KIRKBY GETS THUMBS UP FOR HELPING TO CUT THE COST OF LIVING
KIRKBY residents got some great cost-of-living advice when Muir staff staged an event in the town.
They met Muir residents and people in the wider community to support them with cost-of-living information while handing out energy-saving lightbulbs to help brighten their day.
As well as giving out cost-cutting hints and tips for around the home, Muir’s Tenancy Services and Tenancy Sustainment Officers said it was great to meet residents in their community once more following The Big Chat last year.
“It was really nice spending time with Muir residents and those from the wider community who popped in to see us too,” Jo Davies, Tenancy Services Officer at Muir said.
“We were able to give them plenty of cost-of-living advice and hopefully the energy-saving lightbulbs we gave out will help to bring their household bills down too.”
Jo was joined by Tenancy Sustainment Officer, Leigh Mucedola, as people attended the March event.
He said: “The cost-of-living and tenancy support we provide really makes a difference in people’s lives.
“We enjoyed meeting some of Muir’s Kirkby residents at the event and it was great to welcome people from the wider community too.
“It really shows how valuable these events can be and I’d encourage anyone to attend them when they arrive in your areas too.”
