New affordable homes stand on the brink of completion at Muir

MORE new Muir homes are set to be unveiled on Muir housing developments in forthcoming weeks.
New affordable homes in Chester, Northwich and Melton Mowbray stand on the brink of completion as Muir Group Housing Association awaits their handover from developers working at the Cheshire and Leicestershire sites.
Final touches to seven properties for affordable rent are being made in Northwich (right), along with a further seven in Melton Mowbray.
Four new shared ownership homes will also be delivered across two sites in Chester, and Jo Fallon, Development Consultant at Muir, believes the developments can help make a big difference to people on lower incomes in these areas.
“Muir is committed to providing quality affordable housing, and these properties will help provide welcome relief to people managing smaller incomes,” said Jo (pictured).
“As a housing association, we pride ourselves on delivering affordable housing where it is needed most and we are pleased these properties will fulfil a need in both Cheshire and Leicestershire alike.
“We look forward to receiving handover of these properties from our hard-working developers in the coming weeks, and most importantly, to welcoming the new families and residents who will soon move into them and become part of the wider Muir community.”
The Northwich development, on Beswicks Road, comprises of six one-bedroom flats and a two-bed maisonette.
They have been constructed on the site of former derelict buildings, close to the town centre, by Chrome Services Limited.
The seven Melton Mowbray homes being delivered at the Scalford Road development (right), pave the way for a further seven, also scheduled to be completed before the turn of the year.
At Fern Hill in Farndon, Chester, a total of seven homes for affordable rent, and eight for shared ownership are expected to be delivered before 2018 – with nine of those already received.
Meanwhile, the final Guilden Sutton (Chester) shared ownership home being delivered over the next few weeks, will complement the two received in September.
