OUR SAFEGUARDING SUPPORT MEANT WE COULD HELP MAXIMISE THIS RESIDENT’S QUALITY OF LIFE

WE STEPPED in to help when a resident began hoarding after they found it hard to cope.

Safeguarding support we provide meant we worked with partners including adult social care and Chester Aid to the Homeless.

We’d become concerned about the resident’s physical and mental wellbeing, and worked to clear their flat of things they no longer wanted while finding a home that better suited their needs.

“The resident needed wellbeing support and a home that could support their changing needs.

“We worked with them to remove items they no longer wanted from their flat and worked with our supported housing team to find them a more suitable place to live.

“Our Tenancy Sustainment Officers provided support to help the resident manage their finances, and we also worked with the local council to have an Appointee that could support our resident to manage themselves, whilst still living independently.”
