RESIDENT SAYS MUIR’S ‘SUPER’ FREE SUPPORT HAS MADE MASSIVE MONEY DIFFERENCE

THE “super” support from Muir’s Tenancy Sustainment team have helped a Bradford resident to retain her independence.

82-year-old Jacqueline Roebuck says she was about to give up her car despite mobility issues due to the rising cost of living.

But she explained how Muir helped her obtain disability benefit and receive money she was owed back from energy providers.

“I was struggling to understand what the energy providers wanted and I couldn’t get anyone to help,” Jacqueline (pictured) said.

“I was so frustrated that I was thinking of giving up and just selling my car – even though I have mobility problems – because I didn’t think I could afford to keep it.

Muir resident “But Daniel Turner, Muir’s Tenancy Sustainment Officer (pictured with Jacqueline), was able to help me get my bills lowered and get me a refund too.

“He also told me I might be entitled to a disability attendance allowance and completed the application form for me.

“The application was successful, and all the help has allowed me to retain my independence.

“I can’t walk far but I’d been on the verge of getting rid of my car - Daniel’s help has enabled me to keep it.

“He’s done so much to help me and it’s been a huge weight off my shoulders.

“I’d absolutely recommend other Muir residents use the tenancy support service – it’s super.”
