RESIDENTS MAKE THE MOST OF MUIR SUPPORT AT ‘SKIP AND SUSTAINMENT’ EVENT

A MUIR ‘Skip and Sustainment’ event saw residents rid themselves of a host of unwanted items and access tenancy support from the Association.

Residents at Canberra Court in Ramsey were able to dispose of bulky items in the skip provided by Muir as the estate was given something of a spring clean too.

Skip and Sustainment day Workers from Muir’s grounds maintenance contractor, Tivoli, helped residents load items into the skip and remove any fly-tipping that had occurred on the estate.

And Muir Tenancy Sustainment Officer, Sophie Powter said it was great to see so many Muir residents visiting the Muir stand to access support as well.

“Residents really made the most of the skip which enabled them to get rid of unwanted items easily,” Sophie said.

Skip and Sustainment day “We enjoyed residents approaching us at the Muir stand too, raising any issues which we can help to resolve and accessing the really valuable tenancy sustainment support we can offer.”

Muir’s tenancy sustainment service provides residents with a range of free money and wellbeing services, including accessing benefits, foodbanks and wellbeing support.

Canberra Court Canberra Court residents were able to get rid of mattresses, cupboards, drawers and plenty more without having to pay for removal, while also picking up a few free gifts from Sophie’s fellow sustainment officers Wayne Pearson and Leigh Mucedola who joined her on the day.

“We loved helping residents at Canberra Court and we’ll soon be hosting other similar events for Muir residents in other parts of the country too,” Sophie said.
