STOCK CONDITION SURVEYS – HOW THEY HELP US PROVIDE DECENT HOMES AS STANDARD

STOCK Condition Surveys help us understand the condition of Muir homes so we can ensure they meet the Decent Homes Standard.
They help us look after your home and keep you safe as we live up to our Customer Commitment.
The data collected from Stock Condition Surveys helps us develop investment programmes required to maintain our homes to the Decent Homes Standard and beyond, so we can plan ahead.
Stock Condition Surveys we do are carried out by qualified surveyors.
We’re working with specialist housing consultants, Michael Dyson Associates, on our latest Stock Condition Survey as we aim to gather data on all our properties between August 2024 and December 2025.
What we say…
“It’s important to allow us access for Stock Condition Surveys, so we know how to ensure your home remains a safe place to live,” Nik Evans, Muir’s Assistant Director of Asset Management said.
“We always contact you to let you know when we’re doing a Stock Condition Survey.
“The information collected from Stock Condition Surveys help us invest in the right areas.
“They tell us when things like kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows are due for renewal in your home, as well as things like roof condition and energy efficiency, so we can work towards the Government’s Net Zero carbon emissions target by 2050.
“Stock Condition Surveys also help us implement things like new fire safety measures while fulfilling our Health and Safety Compliance responsibilities.
“Our Customer Commitment demonstrates our commitment to providing homes residents can be proud of, which continue to meet and go beyond the Decent Homes Standard.
