TRIO OF NEW MEMBERS JOIN THE BOARD AT MUIR

THREE new members have joined the Board at Muir.

Aisha Butera, Tony Okotie and Dave Shaw were all announced at Muir’s September AGM, with the trio set to use their experience to help shape the future of the 5,500-home Association.

“We’re delighted to welcome Aisha, Tony and Dave onto the Board at Muir,” Catherine Dixson, Muir Chief Executive said.

“They bring with them a wealth of experience in housing and communities, and we look forward to working with them.

“They will further strengthen Governance at Muir while helping us fulfil commitments in our 2022-27 Corporate Plan and continued service enhancements for residents.”

Muir Board memberAisha (right) has worked for local authorities throughout the last 10 years, leading community wealth building and social value initiatives on large regeneration and refurbishment programmes; and previously sat on the Equality Diversity and Inclusion Board for Kensington and Chelsea Council.

Muir Board memberTony (left) has worked in the voluntary sector for more than 20 years and is the current Director of Impact at BBC Children in Need, with responsibility for leading the charity’s grants teams and grant programmes across the UK.

And Dave (below right) is an experienced senior leader and Governance professional with over 30 years’ experience in both the public and private sector.

Muir Board member He is the Director of Governance at Livv Housing Group and has undertaken similar roles at Great Places Housing Group and the Energy and Communications Ombudsman.

Catherine also thanked outgoing members, Jan Chillery, Sue Kearns and Siraz Natha for their "dedication to helping enhance Muir and its services for residents while working to secure a strong and exciting future for the Association."
