COMMUNAL SPACES GET ‘GREAT’ £40,000 REVAMP AT SUPPORTED SCHEME
A £40,000 REVAMP of communal spaces at a supported housing scheme is helping residents enjoy a fresh new feel.
Members of the We’re Muir planned maintenance team have been busy installing new communal kitchens, carpets, flooring and a conservatory at Hornby Road in Blackpool.
Residents at this Hornby Road scheme, managed for us by Lifeways, are benefiting from the ‘great communal investment’ as it gives them enhanced facilities to enjoy as the scheme gets a new lease of life.
“We’ve installed a new kitchen and conservatory as part of a great investment in communal areas at Hornby Road,” Wayne Kenny, Muir Planned Maintenance Manager said.
“It will help residents enjoy a place they can be proud of as we provide facilities that can make a big difference to people’s lives.
“We’ve also laid new carpets and flooring, and replastered walls to help give these communal areas a fresh new feel.
“We’re delighted to enhance the Hornby Road scheme and provide a great place for people who can benefit from our supported accommodation here.”
The improvements we’re making will ensure the Hornby Road scheme continues to reach the Decent Homes Standard after a recent Stock Condition Survey helped us understand what we needed to improve.
It also helps us live up to our Customer Commitment – showing how we ‘Care about you’ and ‘Look after your home’ to enhance our customer experience.
