The Cheshire properties, which provide a mix of affordable rent, discounted market rent and shared ownership opportunities, were officially handed over to Muir at the start of July as the housing association expands upon its excellent reputation for providing homes across the country.

Sarah Lawton-James, Assistant Director of Assets and Growth Management at Muir (pictured), is thrilled the properties are now on hand to help people wanting to be part of Muir’s community.

Sarah Lawton-James“It is fantastic that properties at Linenhall Mews, Saxon Heath and Cheshire Limes have all been handed over to us,” Sarah said.

“These properties are a great addition to the fabulous portfolio already being managed by Muir.

“We look forward to welcoming residents into these homes and I am delighted that the investment Muir has made into these projects has come to fruition.”

Linenhall Mews consists of one two-bedroom and four one-bedroom apartments and is the product of a refurbishment scheme in Chester City Centre.

The £376,700 scheme benefited from a Homes and Communities Agency grant.

Saxon Heath’s handover marked the end of a four-year partnership with Taylor Wimpey with the site nearing its September completion date.

The £5.2m scheme in Tarvin has received Section 106 funding and provides a total of 44 units.

Cheshire LimesCheshire Limes in Lostock Gralam will also complete in September and is the result of a four-year partnership with Barratt Homes.

Also in receipt of Section 106 funding, the £3.6m scheme is providing 37 units.

There are still a few shared ownership properties available at our Saxon Heath (two three-bedroom properties) and Cheshire Limes (one two-bedroom properties) sites.
