HARVEY’S BRINGING SOME NEW SPARK FOR MUIR RESIDENTS WITH HIS MPS APPRENTICESHIP
AN MPS apprentice says he learning to flick all the right switches as he looks forward to tackling any electrical issues for Muir residents.
Harvey Orr initially joined Muir Property Solutions (MPS) as a multi-skilled apprentice in 2019, learning how to fit flooring, take on tiling, bricklaying, joinery and more.
But after becoming comfortable with those skills, he’s now going a step further by making sure he’s wired up the right way for electricity too, enabling him to do more for Muir residents whenever they call.
“Muir residents are at the forefront of what we do at MPS and I’m loving learning lots of new skills which can help them when they need us,” Harvey said.
“I really enjoy the work and the variation gives me lots of experience.
“I enjoy helping other people and it’s nice to see that you’ve done a good job to a good standard for people and families.”
Nathan Kitson, Electrical Compliance Supervisor at MPS, said: “We’re pleased to offer apprenticeships to young people who are committed to developing their skills and helping Muir residents.
“Harvey’s been really keen to learn from day one and we’ve enjoyed watching him progress.
“His attitude and attention to detail are always great and that can only be a good thing for Muir residents who need repairs and electrical inspections doing in their homes.”
