“IT’S A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO GET A CAREER” – LEARN WHY LIVIE LOVED HER MUIR APPRENTICESHIP
LIVIE Fields says she loved doing her apprenticeship with us.
She’s worked in different departments to support customers and colleagues while gaining a Chartered Institute of Housing Level 2 qualification.
Nineteen-year-old Livie felt the opportunity to earn and learn while gaining a great qualification meant she could enjoy the security of an 18-month apprenticeship while building some great skills and knowledge for a career in housing.
“I thought this was a great opportunity to get a career,” Livie said.
“Being part of an apprenticeship, I feel you grow up quicker.
“It’s been great working with colleagues, they’ve been so supportive whilst I’ve been completing my apprenticeship.”
Livie, who was 17 when she began her apprenticeship, spent time with our Customer Experience and Housing teams, helping to resolve issues for customers, welcome new residents and get involved in events.
“I started my apprenticeship with the Customer Experience Team helping to handle customer queries and any issues they raised.
“I found this challenging as you are the first point of contact but I had great support and I enjoyed helping them.
“I’ve also worked with Cheshire East & Warrington Housing Team, getting involved in Fuel Poverty Events and supporting with communications.
“I’ve also been supporting new residents when they move into their new homes.
“It’s been a really good experience.”
Livie will receive a Chartered Institute of Housing Level 2 qualification as she completes his apprenticeship with us through The Learning Foundry.
