A MUIR resident has explained how her mental health has benefited from Muir’s tenancy support after falling into arrears with her rent.
Godmanchester resident, Kay Elmes, said her situation spiraled after losing her father, but has started to turn things around thanks to the Association’s Tenancy Sustainment Officers.
“It’s definitely a valuable service for people,” she said.
“I was lost after my father died – I’m glad Muir were able to help.”
Kay says spending time with Muir Tenancy Sustainment Officer, Sophie Powter (pictured here with Kay), really helped her to get back on track.
“She was absolutely amazing – I’d recommend any Muir resident with rent concerns to get in touch with them,” said Kay, 66, a qualified carer who had been caring for her father full-time.
“I got great support which has helped me with my rent and my mental health.
“Sophie helped my to understand my situation better and I feel completely different to before.
“After getting to know her I was able to open up. It’s great to know Muir’s support is there for you if you fall into arrears.
“I am turning things around with my rent and I’ve been feeling so much better.”
