He says he’s grateful for the “great experience”, preparing him with the skills to build a career as he earnt while he learnt during his 18-months with us.
“This has been a great experience,” Liam, 20, said. “I’ve been given independence to take on a workload and create a schedule of work. I’ve never been more grateful in all honesty.
“I started my apprenticeship working in the Cheshire East Housing Team for nine months where I was able to attend visits, get involved with resolving anti-social behaviour, and conduct welfare checks; as well as conducting site inspections.
“Since then I’ve also been working in the Customer Experience Team contact centre in a completely different role.
“You gain so much knowledge about the processes and see how various departments work together.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship. My advice to anyone would be to get stuck in and learn as much as you can.
“My colleagues at Muir have treated me with respect. They’ve given me responsibility, and I’ve been able to run with it.
“An apprenticeship brings structure to your life, which provides you with the skills to build a career.”
Liam will receive a Chartered Institute of Housing Level 2 qualification as he completes his apprenticeship with us through The Learning Foundry.
