‘LIFT-OFF’ AS EXCITING NEW CUSTOMER VOICE PARTNERSHIP LAUNCHES AT FIRST MEETING!

YOUR Customer Voice Partnership enjoyed a ‘phenomenal’ launch event after advisors met for their ground-breaking first meeting.

The Partnership, made up of 14 customers acting as Customer Advisors, will work together with us to ensure the customer voice shapes and influences decisions we make.

Co-created with customers, the Partnership connects with our governance structure, ensuring the wider customer voice is heard at every level and has a real impact on the decisions we make.

Muir customersAdvisors came together from across our regions to gather at the Engine Rooms in Warrington and meet for the first time, while also connecting with some of our own colleagues who’ll work with them and listen and act on their feedback to help shape the services we provide.

“This is a really good opportunity for me to work with other residents and Muir to make everybody feel comfortable in their homes and to know that any issues they have will be heard,” Penny Jennions, Chair of the new Partnership and a customer of 39 years said.

“The residents I’ve met here today are really passionate about where they live and are here to work together as a partnership to make everybody feel happy.”

Advisors spent time getting to know each other, sharing their reasons for joining and taking part in a range of activities designed to introduce how they’ll work together.

Through interactive discussions and real-life scenarios, they explored how they can challenge performance, influence and shape decisions and service improvements, understand what matters most to customers, and help the Partnership’s ambitions.

The session also provided an opportunity to build relationships, share ideas, and begin making a positive impact from day one.

Customer Advisor, Pat Nilssen said: “I’ve joined the Customer Voice Partnership because I have an interest in my home and environment and I think it’s really important to take part in creating a better environment for all of us.

Muir customers“It’s been a really enjoyable day, I’ve learnt a lot and hopefully the future bodes well for us to do a lot of good stuff.”

Another Customer Advisor, Alita Lelonek said: “It was a very constructive meeting, giving us ideas about what we can do in the future and how we can make a difference.

“It’s important to me because I think we should be working with housing associations to make sure our living conditions are appropriate for everyone.”

While many members attended in person, others joined online reflecting our commitment to creating an inclusive, accessible and flexible approach to the Partnership - where everyone can take part in ways that work for them.

Muir customersBy offering different ways to get involved, we can ensure a wider range of voices and experiences are heard, helping everyone feel valued, connected and able to contribute.

Jackie Perry, Muir’s Deputy Chief Executive said: “When you’ve worked to co-create the Partnership with Customers, seeing it come to life has been absolutely phenomenal.

“It's been wonderful to see customers bringing their ideas, experiences and passion to help shape the future of our services.

“There’s been lots of energy and passion from customers at the first meeting and everyone is committed to making things better.

“This Partnership is about listening to customers and using what they tell us to influence decisions we make.”
