A THRILLED shared home owner says he has “the best of both worlds” after moving into the house he’s just bought with Muir.
Shared ownership was the perfect move for 25-year-old Matthew Stoneley, who purchased a 75% share in one of Muir’s brand-new homes in Willaston, near Nantwich.
And he says he couldn’t have asked for anything more after explaining how the support he received from Muir helped him feel right at home within just days of moving in.
“I’m enjoying settling in,” Matthew said. “Muir couldn’t have done more for me and the house is perfect.”

“It’s the easiest and most affordable option for me,” Matthew said.
“I’m the third or fourth generation of my family to grow up in the village, and staying in the area was really important to me.
“I was faced with ridiculous house prices, but this shared ownership home with Muir is really affordable.”
Matthew’s two-bed home means that after moving out of his parents’ house, he can still visit them, and his friends, whenever he wants, with all just being five or ten minutes’ walk away.
“These homes definitely came at the right time – I was chomping at the bit to have one,” said Matthew.
“I definitely feel really secure to have bought one. Everything is brand new and the garden is plenty big enough.”
Matthew says his experience of buying a shared ownership home with Muir was as pleasing as the property itself.

“I’d definitely recommend them to others – I can’t ask for anything more.”
