PROVIDING access for Muir to complete vital electrical checks is essential to ensure your home is safe.
Residents who don’t comply could be putting themselves and their family in danger.
We work with residents to complete a thorough electrical safety check at all Muir properties every five years in-line with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations.
Periodic inspection and testing is necessary because all electrical installations can deteriorate due to factors such as damage, general wear and tear, corrosion, excessive electrical loading, ageing and environmental influences.
The checks are required by law and involve testing consumer units (fuse boards), protective bonding, lighting, switches and sockets etc.
