PETERBOROUGH PEOPLE CAN ENJOY 18 NEW AFFORDABLE HOMES WITH MUIR
PEOPLE in Peterborough can enjoy 18 new affordable Muir homes as the first eight properties prepare to open their doors.
Muir has just taken handover of seven homes for affordable rent and one for shared ownership with Homes by Muir, at a picturesque lakeside location on Waterhouse Way.
And a further ten properties are set to be made available in 2024 as Muir works with Barratt Homes to deliver the two and three-bedroom houses for new residents at Hampton Beach, as part of the Association’s ‘Building New Homes’ strategy.
“It’s really exciting to provide affordable homes for people in Peterborough,” Annette Westwater, Muir’s Development Officer said.
“We’ve already taken handover of the first eight, which is fabulous, and we’re looking forward to seeing new residents move in.
“It’s great to provide a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership homes – giving people here a chance to choose a lifestyle that suits them.
“They’re situated among some great open spaces and near a picturesque lake, only three miles from Peterborough’s historic city centre, so the location couldn’t be more perfect.
“We think people and families will be really happy here.”
Six more properties for affordable rent and four further shared ownership homes will be completed in 2024 as the Hampton Beach development unfolds on Waterhouse Way.
Muir’s Building New Homes Strategy aims to build 500 new affordable homes, for rent and shared ownership, during 2022-27.
