Sam Scott - Executive Director Operations
Sam has worked in the social housing sector for over 25 years and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).
After graduating with a BSc (Hons.) in Housing Management and Development, he started his career as a Housing Officer for the Guinness Trust in Essex.
He has since enjoyed various housing management roles with several other housing associations across the country before joining Muir.
Since 2003, Sam has held a number of senior leadership positions at Muir and was appointed to the role of Executive Director of Operations in 2015.
Sam's broad remit includes overall responsibility for ensuring Muir residents receive an excellent service and that appropriate support is in place for those most vulnerable.
He also has responsibility for investing in our homes and communities to ensure they remain well maintained and safe, and for delivering Muir’s ambitious development programme.
Sam is the Nominated and Responsible person for ensuring Muir complies with landlord Health and Safety obligations and all aspects of the Regulator's Consumer Standards.
Outside work Sam likes to spend as much time as possible outdoors. When he gets the chance he enjoys motorsport, exercising and listening to an eclectic range of music (mostly 90’s Indie!).
