Getting Involved Locally
Regional Matters
We work with customers to ensure local voices are heard and have a real influence on the decisions that affect homes and neighbourhoods. By sharing feedback, insight and lived experience, we help shape neighbourhood plans, services and local priorities that matter most to customers.
We:
- Ensure the customer voice influences local priorities through neighbourhood plans and regional meetings with neighbourhood partners.
- Use customer insight and feedback to shape decisions and improve services affecting customers and their homes.
- Listen to customers’ lived experiences to gain honest, meaningful feedback that drives improvements.
- Champion issues affecting customers, ensuring concerns raised through local voices are heard and acted upon.
- Promote inclusive engagement, using data and insight to ensure diverse customer voices are represented in decision-making.
What are Neighbourhood Partners?
Neighbourhood Partners are volunteers who care about their community and want to help make a positive difference in the neighbourhood where they live.
Regional forums will take place on 10th March and 8th September 2027. They’re an opportunity for local Neighbourhood Partners to share customer intelligence that will inform and influence decisions about regional and neighbourhood matters. There will be two forums taking place on each date, one for the North/North West region and one for the East.
How will they influence neighbourhood issues?
They’ll work in partnership with us to:
- Bring people together, encouraging involvement in the local community.
- Share insight, feedback and experiences to help shape services and neighbourhood improvements such as, grounds maintenance and communal cleaning.
- Take part in neighbourhood walkabouts and improvement activities to identify local concerns and opportunities for improvement that can make a real difference.
- Champion community pride and helping create places where people feel proud to live, working with our neighbourhood teams to ensure local priorities are understood and acted upon.
- Join other Neighbourhood Partners from across the region to share experiences, discuss local issues, identify improvement opportunities and bring customer views together to influence decisions.
How will their voices be listened to and acted on?
As a Neighbourhood Partner, you'll help us understand what's working well, what could be improved, and what's most important to customers in your community.
For example, if customers raise concerns about grounds maintenance, Neighbourhood Partners can discuss the issue at our Regional Forums to identify whether it's affecting other neighbourhoods too. Where wider themes emerge, these can be reviewed by the Customer Voice Partnership and shared with our Customer Services Committee or Board to help influence future improvements. We'll always keep customers updated about the difference their feedback has made.
